St Margaret’s hosts a small number of special Sundays during the year when our two main Sunday morning services, their congregations and choirs, come together.

These Special Sundays mark important events in the life of our Church and Parish and also express the unity of our Church across our diverse congregations.

Mothering Sunday

The Parish Mass at 10am will be followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall.

Bouquets are presented for all to give to their mothers, or to lay at a graveside, or to share with someone special.

We especially give thanks too for Mother Church through whom we are all nurtured in the Christian faith.

“Parish Church Sunday”

The Parish Mass at 10.00am will be followed immediately by the Annual Church Meetings at 11.00am.

At these meetings important Church elections are held for Churchwardens and the members of the Parochial Church Council.

We also review together the life of St Margaret’s Church.

“St Margaret’s Day”

On this Sunday we celebrate our Patronal Festival (St Margaret of Antioch) with a Parish Mass at 11.00am.

This is followed by a celebration lunch in the Parish Hall for everyone.

“Harvest Festival”

On Harvest Sunday the Parish Mass at 11.00am includes our annual Harvest Appeal for a nominated charity (see Outward Giving).

The service is followed by the Harvest Lunch in the Parish Hall.
