Richard Dunster-Sigtermans - Organ Recital

The recital on May Day is given by Richard Dunster-Sigtermans, former Director of music at Rugby School, recently settled in Harrogate—he played for our Advent Procession in December. His programme is called ‘By Arrangement’, as most of the programme consists of arrangements of various music not originally for solo organ—if I mention Jesu joy of man’s desiring, Grieg’s Wedding from Peer Gynt and the Albinoni Adagio, you’ll get the idea. The final Toccata, by Edward Marsh, is based on the theme ‘Pat le facteur’—could it be Postman Pat? Christopher.
